THE BOY NEXT DOOR✓ EPISODE 126✓

I thread my fingers through his hair while his are wrapped securely around my waist as our tongues mate. It's crazy. I pull back when I can't take it anymore. That had to be the most intense moment in my entire life. It makes me feel wanted, desired, appreciated. Something that I never felt before. I'm still hovering over Kain and one of his hands is cupping my cheek. "Your lips are pouty." He observes quietly. "I want to kiss you all over again but we should really get going. I should take you back home on time because we have school tomorrow." I sit up and so does he. Leaning to plant a swift kiss on my lips, he opens his door and I step out. He gets out after me and takes my hand to lead me to the restaurant. The security guards wave at us and he nods politely back. The sense of familiarity baffles me but I say nothing as we walk in.. A young waitress is walking towards us as soon as we step inside. She gives kain a dazzling smile, totally assuming my presence. I tighten my hand on his and he glances down at me. "Do you have a reservation?" She asks Kain, her eyelashes fluttering seductively and I am tempted to narrow my eyes at her. "Yes we do and we will show ourselves there. Thank you Annette." He tells her curtly then pulls me along. Our table is at the very farthest corner of the restaurant. It's for two and it's position offers maximum privacy. It's rather quiet as well, hence easy to hold a conversation. Kain pulls a seat for me then holds the back while I sit down. He makes sure that I am comfortably seated before walking around to his seat which is directly opposite mine. The waitress from before is already upon our table and again, I want to roll my eyes. She makes me plain uncomfortable. "Do you want to order right away?" She asks Kain who looks at me. "Belle?" I'm feeling uncomfortable already and I want to leave the restaurant as soon as possible so I don't want any drinks. "I'm ready to order." I tell him. The waitress never looks at me even as we make our orders and when she finally leaves, I heave a sigh of relief. Kain takes my hand over the table, an eyebrow lifted questioningly. "You look so uncomfortable." He comments and I shrug. "I don't like that girl.'' "But why? " "She was all over you." I seethe and his entire face is taken over by surprise before he laughs lightly. "Are you jealous? She was not all over me. She just did her job and left." "Indeed." I say sarcastically. "Why do you know her name?" "Because my dad owns the restaurant and we've been here countless times." Ooh... Feeling embarrassed at my show, I bite my lip and look away. Kain rubs my hand reassuringly and when I don't turn to him, he calls my name quietly. His eyes are searching mine, trying to gauge my reaction. "Belle, you have to start trusting me if you want this to work. It's okay to be jealous but don't act like I'm going to cheat on you because I won't. You are the only girl I'm interested in." The words are so sincerely spoken I can't start doubting them right now. As I look at the depths of his eyes, I guess that I am not making a stupid mistake by trusting him. As we walk out of the restaurant two hours later, I'm feeling more secure. Kain basically stared at me the entire time and he let me do most of the talking while he listened keenly. I was somehow nervous so I gushed out about everything; my previous colleges, the places we stayed, my dad..everything. He opens my door then walks to his side and we are on the road immediately after. I'm clutching his hand tightly; not quite believing that we will have to part in a while. He drives slowly; his eyes keen on the road, like he doesn't want the journey to come to an end. My face falls when our neighbourhood comes into view and I tighten my hold on his free hand. When he pulls up outside our house, he leans back on his seat and tilts his head to look at me. "Can I pick you in the morning?" "Ryan usually drives me." "I know that. Just tell him you are catching a ride with me." "If my Mom comes to find out about this...'' He cuts me off. "Stop worrying about her for once. I'll be here at eight." I shrug. I really don't have a choice. Plus, I'm not complaining or anything. Kain driving me to school is one of the best things that could ever happen to me. "I'll open your door. Stay put." "I can..." I start to say and he shakes his head. "Just stop it. Let me do the boyfriend duties." He opens my door and holds my hand as I step out. He closes it behind me then walks me to the front door. I reach for the door bell but he holds my hand to stop me. Before I ask him what is happening, he pins me to the wall and kisses me. I'm out of breath and totally ready to slide to the floor since my legs are like jelly but his strong arms around me keep me in position. He rings the doorbell once he is done then grins at me. And he walks backwards to his car, leaving me gasping for breath. Kain is right on time and he is already holding my door open when I walk outside on Monday morning. Ryan doesn't look too happy with the new arrangement but I really don't care. I might not be able to do this once my Mom is back so I may as well enjoy it while it lasts. Kain pulls the car smoothly out of the driveway and he turns to me as soon as we hit the highway. "Did you go on your date with that professor?" That somehow gets me off guard and I quickly shake my head. "Of course not. Why would you even ask that?" "I just remembered something. I think he is hitting on Tatiana. I saw them at the coffee house while I was coming here." "Oh?" I exclaim incredulously. Tatiana and the professor? I hope they are dating then he would leave me alone. "He better stay away from you." Kain warns just as my phone rings. I quickly fish it out of my bag then I hastily answer the call when I realize that it's George. "George..." "Bella?" He interrupts me. He is talking way too fast and he sounds out of breath. "I need your help." "Are you okay? How can I help you?" "I need to talk to Kain right now but he changed his line. Please call him and ask him to call me back right away. It's urgent. "Give me a minute." Kain is already pulling up in the school's parking lot. He starts to open his door but I hold his hand. "I'm not calling George if that is what you want to tell me." I give him a beseeching look. "He says it's important." "I don't care." "Kain. Please." He gives me a weird look then shakes his head before sitting back. He grabs his phone and dials George's number before hitting the button on the steering wheel. "What." He says quietly, leaning back on his seat and closing his eyes. "Kain." George gasps. "We need your help. It's Gianna." "What's up with her?" He sits up immediately, his eyes flying open at the mention of his sister. "She is at the hospital. She was involved in an accident on her way to school and your dad's driver called me. Apparently, he doesn't have your new number, your dad is out of the country and your Mom.. You know..." "Which hospital." He demands, his jaw twitching.. "Mercy." "I'm on my way." He hangs up quickly, panicking. "I'll be back as soon as I can. I'll place a call to dad." He addresses me and I just shake my head. "I'm coming with you." "Belle..." "If Gianna is unwell, then you're not leaving me here." "Fine." I replies curtly while pulling out of the parking lot. He drives insanely as his father's lazy drawl fills the car. "Hello." "Dad," Kain breaths. "Gianna is at the hospital." "What happened?" He doesn't sound exactly worried. "Accident. Ray was driving her to school." "I'm out of the country right now. Which hospital is she in?" "Mercy." "I'll send a friend to check on her and have her transferred to a private hospital." "Your friend better be there soon. If something happens to my sister..." "Gianna is going to be fine. Just relax." "Honey, who are you talking to?" A lady's voice asks in the background and Kain's jaw twitches angrily. Without a word, he ends the call then sighs deeply. I reach for his hand and I'm glad when he let's me hold it. Why is his father always sleeping around? It doesn't make sense. "Why do people cheat on their partners?" Kain asks quietly, his eyes fixed on the road. He is talking more to himself than me so I stay quiet. "It doesn't make sense," he continues with his silent rant. "That you choose someone, take them to the alter without having a gun pointed to your head, then you fucking cheat on them." "Kain." I call him gently while caressing his hand. He passes me a quick glance before focusing back on the road. We stay in silence the entire way to the hospital. He is tense and not in the mood to talk so I let him be. Kain loves his sister and I can only imagine what is going through his mind right now.. Plus, his father is cheating. Again. George, Zac, Jay, Jade and Cara are already there, waiting for us at the reception. I can tell that Kain is still not too keen on his friendship with George and the rest of the boys because he doesn't even give them their bro hug. "How is she?" He addresses George who appears to be outright uncomfortable as he explains. We are restricted from seeing her and the nurses are outright rude. Kain is trying to hold himself together, his fists clenched to the sides as one of the rude nurses walks right past us. "They won't let you see her. That's how public hospitals operate." Jade tells him with a sigh of resignation. "Really?" Kain asks with a cocked eyebrow. "Let's see if this works." He grabs the hand of a passing nurse and pulls her to him. She looks up at him in surprise then she swoons when she sees his face. Bitch. "Hi, my name is Kain and I'm here to see my sister. She was brought in like thirty minutes ago. Her name is Gianna." The nurse blinks twice before looking away. "I can't help you with that. There's a doctor who is checking her right now. He's the only one who can let you see her." "Which room?" He asks, and she hesitates before replying. "The emergency room." "Which floor?" "First, but please don't go there. He might call security on you." "Okay." He releases her hand, no thank you, no nothing. He turns to look at me. "Are you coming?" I nod and he takes my hand then leads me to the staircase. Gianna is in the emergency room. Her eyes are closed and her breathing is laboured. The doctor is standing by the window busy on the phone while poor Gianna groans in pain. Kain walks to him and casually pulls the phone from his grasp. The enraged doctor turns to us, his eyes bulging with anger. "What are you kids doing here? Get out!" He yells at us.
