THE BOY NEXT DOOR✓ EPISODE 125✓

Alicia strictly warns me to take care of myself, or else she's going to be in trouble once my Mom is back. I'm not even listening. I'm excited; way too excited. I walk downstairs when the doorbell rings exactly two minutes after 1800hours. Looks like Kain is quite the timekeeper. He is standing at the door looking all godlike; as usual of course. He is wearing dark jeans, a white T-shirt, and a black leather jacket. His hair is messy and his eyes bright; with excitement I hope. He has a bunch of white and pink roses in his hands and my smile is brighter than the sun. "Aren't you going to give your boyfriend a hug?" He asks with a mock serious expression. The word boyfriend goes right through me and my poor heart is beating like crazy. Last evening after we rode home on his motorcycle, I could barely calm down. He didn't ask me to be his girlfriend or anything but the mere fact that he hinted we are now dating made butterflies erupt in my stomach. Walking to him, he wraps his free arm around my waist and pulls me to him. I expect him to hug me but instead, he leans and kisses me right on the lips. My heart jumps. It's been a whole week since we last kissed and to be honest, I feel deprived. He pulls back before I even respond; his lips having stayed on mine for barely a second. He smirks when he sees the disappointment on my face. "You'll get the kisses you want, Belle, but not right now. That one was for your nosy neighbour." I turn to Zac's house and sure enough, Ethan is standing in the driveway watching us. He has a backpack draped over his shoulders and his car keys are in his hands. I guess he is going back to his apartment. He always leaves on Sunday evenings. He shakes his head and gets in his car. After a minute or two, the engine comes to life and he leaves. I take the flowers to the kitchen to hunt for a vase but Alicia takes them from me. "I'll do it. Just go to your date." "Thanks." I call over my shoulder while rushing to the door. Thankfully, we are not riding a motorcycle this time. Kain had the decency to bring a car. He releases my hand to open my door then he closes it behind me once I am nicely settled. He climbs to his side and turns to look at me. "Seatbelt." He orders gently and I quickly do it. I feel dizzy just thinking about the way he drives. I'm in for a surprise, however, because he maintains a speed of fifty miles an hour. I turn to him with raised eyebrows when he uses that particular speed for a whole five minutes yet there's no traffic at all. "You mean you can actually drive like a regular human being?" I tease him and he spares me a tiny grin before turning back to the road. "It would appear so. But then again, I have been acting a lot like a normal person since I met you." "What is that supposed to mean?" He keeps his eyes on the road while answering. "I don't usually run around tracking cellphones to save girls. I never imagined myself taking a girl to the woods to watch the sunset. I don't always share my bed or sleeping bag and I sure as hell do not take girls on dates." My heart skips a few beats. "You did all that for me." I state quietly and he sighs. "I would do anything for you, Belle." I suck in a breath while watching him. "Why?" I ask in disbelief. Why does he do that for me? He shakes his head. "I just can't help it." He turns to glance at me. "Plus, I really like you." "What do you like about me?" I'm not even that interesting." I say, mirroring his words. He told me several times before we got all cozy that I am not very interesting. He places his hand on mine which is lying uselessly on my lap. "I'm not sure but I do. A lot." I take a deep breath before entwining our fingers. We stay quiet for a long moment, my fingers drawing idle circles on his palm while he concentrates on the winding road. When he pulls up outside a modern building in the middle of the city, I just shake my head. This place should be way beyond us but then his father is one of the most influential people in the country. I hope I will somehow fit in even though its obvious that I don't belong here. "Why are you so nervous?" Kain asks with concern when I remain immobile in my seat, staring at the building. "I don't belong here." I state honestly and he frowns. "What makes you think so? You won't have to fit in or anything, Belle." He turns to face me fully before hooking an arm around my shoulders. "You don't have to worry about anything. We're going to sit at a table for two and all those other people will be minding their own business. I will be there the entire time and I will take care of you." He sounds convincing so I decide to give it a shot. I don't want to sabotage our first date. "I know of something that will take the nervousness away." He adds while giving me a knowing look. "Yeah?" I ask hopefully then I raise my eyebrows all the way up when he pats his lap. "Kain, that will make me even more nervous." "It won't. You will calm down. Just trust me." He reclines his seat partly and when I hesitates, he takes my hand and helps me over the console. I am straddling him and his hands are on my bare shoulders. My dress has ridden high up on my thighs and I am feeling all self conscious. Kain reaches to smooth my hair back and I gasp when his fingers graze my cheek. It's like having tingly sparks passing over my skin. "You are the most beautiful thing ever." He says in awe, his eyes roaming over my face, my chest, to my stomach. When his eyes move to my naked thighs, I swear his pupils dilate and he swallows dryly. He lifts his eyes back to my face and lifts a hand to caress my jaw. "I think this was a bad idea. You should probably go back to your seat." He suggests darkly, his voice just above a whisper. I'm not ready to leave his lap though. I missed him for way too long not to kiss him right now. Leaning my weight over him, I press my palms to his chest, then lean to kiss him. He blows a breath against my lips before kissing me back. Something strange happens; I don't just feel the excitement that I always get when kissing him; there's more. A scorching fire. It starts from my lips as soon as our tongues make contact. It spreads rapidly through my entire body until I am a wanton mess. I feel high; tingly, like I need something, something which I'm not sure what it is. Kain's lips are moving over mine in a frenzy and when his hands reaches to cup my butt, I moan. As the kiss deepens, I lose the sense of time and reasoning and I kiss him like my life depends on it.
