THE BOY NEXT DOOR✓ EPISODE 98✓

I'm so embarrassed sitting there but no one seems to find it odd. Jay winks at me and I roll my eyes at him while Zac just ignores me. I have no idea what is wrong with him. George turns to exchange a look with Kain before he starts the car and Jade leans back on her seat, her eyes focused ahead.
                     
She must be feeling like crap from her drinking spree last night.                     

Kain shifts to make me more comfortable on his lap then wraps an arm around me. Jay bursts out laughing.
                     
"Can someone take a picture right now please?"
                   
Kain turns and smacks him on the shoulder with his free hand.
"Shut up Jay. If you don't behave, then Belle will take your seat and you will have to sit on my lap."
                     
"Ew." Jay exclaims, making a very disgusted face. "I don't want you to hold me like that then fall in love with me. That will be so awkward!"
                     
Arguing with Jay is always useless. You can never win against him.
                     
Ignoring him, Kain leans back on the seat and Jay gets the opportunity to taunt me.
                     
"Can you feel anything?" He asks with a wink and I'm confused all over.
                     
"Anything?"
                     
"You know what I mean, puppy face."
                     
Kain turns to him. "Can you shut up for once? You better get your car back tomorrow because I'm never riding with you again."
                     
"It's George's car." Jay says smugly.                   

"I'd still throw you out if it was your car. Now keep quiet."
                     
Jay rolls his eyes. "Yes Daddy."
                     
Jade finally turns around to looks at us. She laughs when she sees my sitting position before addressing me.
                     
"I thought you didn't like Kain?"
                     
"I still don't like him. " I reply hastily and Jay howls with laughter. Kain immediately sticks his headphones on, totally shunning any conversations.
                     
"Your sitting position tells me otherwise." Jade continues with a wink.
                     
"He forced me to sit here."                     

"I didn't see you resisting Bella."
                   
Urrgh. I should have stayed at home. I hold my hands over my ears and close my eyes.
                   
Jade gets out as soon as the car comes to a stop. George catches up with her and wraps an arm around her waist. She tries to resist but he says something in her ear which makes her shut up.
                     
I wonder what he said to her? One thing I've come to realize, George and Kain share so many similar characteristics. For one, they always get things to go their way. How can two people share such common traits?
                     
Kain walks besides me but his earlier jolly mood is gone. He is tense and his jaw is somehow set.
                   
Jay and Zac walk past us and Kain grabs my hand then yanks me against him. He is so rough such that for a moment there, I'm scared he might hurt me.
                     
He leans in, his eyes flashing angrily, his arm snaking around my waist. His eyes roam over my face, and I almost wither under his stare.
                     
"I know you don't like me but you don't have to announce it to the whole world. Keep your feelings to yourself Belle."
                     
"What?" I squeak.
                     
"I said, you don't have to announce to everyone that you don't like me."
                   
Then he is pulling me towards the entrance where the tickets are sold. He is still mad and I wonder why he is so worked up. Because I told Jade that I don't like him?

George has already bought our tickets and I watch as Kain glares at him with disbelief.

"George, I can pay for my own stuff. Why do you keep doing this?"

Are they really going to fight over this? They almost has an argument about paying when we went to the mall yesterday.

George shrugs. "It's no big deal. The movie idea was mine so it only makes sense that I foot the expenses. Plus, how much are the tickets? Just peanuts!"

"Can you two stop it? We understand that both of you have more money than most people in this side of the state but you don't have to keep fighting about it!" Jade yells at them. "Why don't you use that money and buy common sense?"

I know the words are directed at George but he doesn't even flinch. His hopeful eyes are on Kain who ignores him.

Jay grabs my hand from Kain's and starts pulling me away, turning to talk to them over his shoulder.

"Once you are done being petty like bitches, you know where to find us."

I poke him in the ribs. "You shouldn't use such words. "

He rolls his eyes. "A bitch is a female dog."

I give up.

The theatre is mostly occupied and we are not able to get a spot where we can all sit together. We can only sit in groups of three. Zac, George and Jade sit right in front of us. Jay is seated beside me and Kain sits on the other side of me.

Jade passes us an extra large bag of popcorns and Jay grabs them. He shoves a handful into his mouth and chews slowly while looking at me.

"Where are your manners?" I ask him and he grins at me.

"I left them at home. I can't risk having them stolen, can I now?"

I shake my head and focus ahead as the lights go off and the movie begins.

It's a typical romantic movie and my eyes are fixed on the screen. I'm aware of Kain's presence but I try hard to ignore him.

A sudden movement in front of me makes me shift my gaze and I'm genuinely surprised when I realize Jade and George are kissing.

Eish.

Feeling very self conscious, I steal a peek at Kain and it doesn't help that he is staring at me. I doubt whether he watched anything on the screen the entire time because every time I did my classic peeking, he had his eyes fixed on me.

Jay pokes me on the side and I look at him.
He points at Zac with his chin.
"The third wheel is so real right now. Poor guy."

I can't help it and I burst out laughing. My voice echoes in the quiet theatre and people turn to look at me.

Kain quickly clamps his hand over my mouth, muffling the sound of my laughter. He grabs that opportunity to wrap an arm around me and pull me close to him.

My phone vibrates and I reach to fish it out. I glance at the text message before my brow creases in a very huge frown.

It's my Mom, asking me to step out for a minute; that she is right at the entrance.

That's weird. How did she even know which movie house we were in? I hope Daniel is okay.

Kain reads the text then he lifts an eyebrow, his eyes on my face.

"I'll ask Jade to come with you. If you step out with any of us, you're going to be in serious trouble." He whispers and I nod. I don't even understand why Jade should come with me. I'll just talk to Mom for a minute then be right back.

George frowns at the text but he proceeds to let Jade come with me. She holds my hand as we leave the theatre.

"So you two made up?" I whisper and she laughs quietly.

"No, silly. It was a kissing scene and I was seated next to the guy I love, who claims to love me back. What is a girl supposed to do?"

"Did he explain whatever happened with lily?"

She shrugs. "I have no idea what lily has against him. He wants to tell me but he says he can't. That's why I don't want to go back to him. He shouldn't be keeping secrets."

"George loves you, Jade."

"I know." She replies as we go through the theatre doors.

It's deserted outside. Cars are packed all over the place and no one is in sight. I call my mom and she answers on the third ring.

"Bella."

"Mom, where are you?"

"At home. Is everything okay? Your friend stopped by."

I get this sinking feeling immediately. Something is going on.

"Which friend?"

"April. Her phone had run out of charge so she borrowed mine to text you. She should be on her way to the movies right now. She was looking for you."

Who the fuck is April?

Jade and I look at each with wide eyes, and we both rush to the door at the same time. We should totally get out of the parking lot. Something very fishy is going on.

We never make it to the door. Someone clamps a hand over my mouth and pulls me hard. I almost hit the ground but somehow he manages to pick me up. I want to scream but the hold on my mouth is so strong that it's almost painful.

History is repeating itself.

I pass a terrified look at Jade and she is undergoing the same treatment. She is slung over a shoulder by some muscular guy who is heading to the parking lot. My kidnapper follows suit and we are taken past the parking lot to a car packed at the very edge; to avoid the security cameras I guess.

My heart is beating like crazy and I'm scared stiff. I know this is Tatiana's doing and I immediately come to a decision.
If this is happening because of Kain, then I'm staying away from him.

This is just too much. Am I going to lose my life over a guy? Jade is in trouble because of me.

If I ever get out of this alive, I'm never looking in Kain's direction again.
