Gianna smiles tentatively.
"It's nice to meet you, Bella. Are you Kain's girlfriend?"
I shake my head.
"No. We are just friends."
"Oh really? You guys look so good together."
"That's enough Gianna." Kain says in a very irritated voice. "I want to have a talk with Bella. Don't drink, okay?"
She smirks at him. She is really pretty. Seems like beauty genes run in the family.
"I'll have a beer. Just one."
Kain glowers at her.
"No you won't."
"If I do?" She challenges him.
"You will not because I'll have someone baby sitting you."
He turns to Jay who is seated with Zac. He beckons for him to come over and when he does, Gianna rushes to hug him. He hugs her back with so much vigour it almost knocks them down and they both burst out laughing. Kain, however, doesn't find it funny.
"If Ethan touches my sister, I'm killing you." He warns Jay sternly.
"She's safe with me." Jay replies too eagerly.
"I mean it Jay. I don't trust that guy. You know what he did to her."
"I know dude. I got this."
Kain snorts. "That's the same thing you said with Bella and you ended up fucking up."
Jay rolls his eyes. "Will you stop with the lectures already? Get out Kain. Wait, where are you taking Bella? If you are going to make out then Zac's room is occupied. You have to go to your car or something."
I gasp but Kain just shakes his head.
"What is wrong with you Jay? Where is your mother?"
"My mother is currently in bed thinking her child is an Angel."
Kain lifts an eyebrow. "Really?"
"I'm kidding. She thinks I'm possessed."
I can't hold back my laughter anymore. I burst out laughing and Gianna joins in.
Even Kain manages a small smirk.
"You are such a baby, Jay."
"Then carry me papi."
Kain does his signature eye roll.
"Where is George? I trust him more."
"The last time I checked, he was carrying Jade upstairs. She passed out on him and puked all over his shoes."
"Too much information." Kain says irritably.
Jay shrugs innocently, "You asked."
Giving up, Kain leaves them and pulls me to the door. He closes the door behind us and I stand my ground, refusing to move at all. He gives me a very annoyed look.
"What."
"Where are we going?"
"We need to talk."
"Then you can ask like a normal human being. You don't have to drag me out."
He lifts that damned eyebrow.
"So what should I have said?" He tries to imitate me. "Excuse me, can we please go out for a talk?"
"First of all, I don't talk like that. And yeah, that's exactly what you should have asked."
He snorts. "That's ridiculous."
"You are a rude human being, Kain."
"Let me show you just how rude I can be."
Without warning, he hauls me up and a moment later, I'm slung over his shoulder, my face hanging halfway down his back. I yelp when he starts walking and I'm suddenly very scared. What if he is taking me to some dark room to kill me?
