The stadium is almost deserted and I'm glad that I don't have to stand all those stares.
A few girls literally scream when Kain appears shirtless and he just smiles politely and waves. If I know Kain at all, I'm sure he is only doing that for the sake of his team. They must have rules about respecting fans because honestly, he is the rudest human being I know.
Ethan insists on driving his car but George strictly refuses. He tells Ethan that he should be lying back somewhere and not focusing on a road. He even manages to confiscate the car keys.
Everything is just so confusing. Since when did George care about Ethan? If it's me getting kidnapped that got them to tolerate each other then it was for the best.
As for Kain, he simply looks bored, standing there watching George taking the keys. He has retrieved his shirt from Zac's car and I'm glad that he covered those packs. They were very distracting to be honest.
Zac offers Jay a lift according to plan and he gladly agrees. Jay hugs me then bro-hugs George briefly. He ignores Ethan totally and I'm literally scared for him when he walks towards Kain.
"Look here bro, I know I fucked up but you can't keep doing this. How long are you planning on ignoring me? I'm sorry." He more of yells than explains and Kain simply lifts an eyebrow.
I really don't understand his mood. It wasn't Jay's fault that I was kidnapped so he isn't to blame.
"Kain." Jay repeats, a bit politely this time and Kain narrows his eyes at him.
"He could have raped her. Or worse, killed her!" He says between his teeth.
"I know and I said I'm sorry. Do you think I'd let someone hurt Bella intentionally? She's my friend too and I care about her! Just stop this already."
"Whatever." Kain says grudgingly then lifts his hand to high five Jay. His expression is still sour but I'm glad they are on the first step of making amends.
I don't even understand why Kain is so protective over me. He would have nothing to lose if I was raped or whatever.
George tosses his car keys to Kain who catches them swiftly mid air. Ethan rolls his eyes and clicks angrily before he climbs into his car. Cara, who is standing beside me seems to be unsure of which car to get into and I remember she has a crush on Kain. She would definitely want to ride with him in George's car. That means I should walk over to Ethan's before they leave me stranded behind.
I take three steps towards the car before Kain's cold voice stops me.
"Where are you going?"
I turn to face him and he is lifting that signature eyebrow, his arms crossed over his chest.
"I'm riding with Ethan and George."
He lifts the second eyebrow all the way up. How does he do that? I can't, unless I use my hands to literally lift them eyebrows.
"Says who?" He asks and I fight the urge to scrunch my nose. Like honestly, am I supposed to ask him for permission before I get into a car?
George, who is seated in the driver's seat, rolls his window down and sticks his head out to speak to Cara.
"Are you coming or not? I can gladly leave you here."
She flinches then walk quietly to the car. I watch while she gets into the back seat and bangs the door behind her. George shares a knowing look with Kain before he pulls out of the parking lot smoothly.
Kain walks over to George's car and opens the front passenger door. He holds it open, looking at me quietly. It takes me a moment to realize he is holding it open for me.
